IRVINE, Calif. – In a revealing interview this week, the CEO of Taco Bell, Greg Creed, revealed that he’s getting seriously worried about how much more the company can get out of the three ingredients they have available to them.
“I’ve crunched the numbers, and there are only nine combinations we can make with this stuff,” Creed said. “We’ve already got more than that on the menu, and I’m not sure how much longer it’s going to be until someone figures that out.”
Taco Bell has managed to dominate the fast food taco market for decades on their promise of “meat, cheese, tortilla and nothing else,” but Creed continues to worry about the future of the organization.
“We’ve got some of the greatest marketing minds working on potential items right now. But the ‘Crazy Cheesy Meat Cheese Roll Meat Taco’ doesn’t do much to inspire confidence.”
“Do I think the whole company is going to come to a grinding halt if we don’t figure this out today? No. Do I lay in bed late at night and dream of a world where I had become a doctor like my mother told me to? Yeah, I dream of that, but we all have dreams.”
