LOS ANGELES – More shocking news continues to rattle Hollywood this week, as beloved actor Tom Hanks has been accused of touching an actress with his most recent role in Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated film The Post.
“I’ll never get over what he did to me,” said Lauren Fleming, who recently moved to Los Angeles and has secured a small role in an upcoming television pilot. “How he approached the role of Ben Bradlee really spoke to me as I begin my own journey in acting. He continues to be a master of the craft so many years in and I’ll always be grateful for what he’s taught me through his work.”
The news follows other reports of young actresses who have come forward in recent weeks and detailed how Hanks touched them over the years with his many memorable performances, from his role as Forrest Gump to the lovable toy cowboy Woody in three Toy Story films.
“I’ll never be able to look at a picture of Woody the same way again,” said actress Susan Spaulding. “I’ll never forget how deeply he touched me, especially at the end of the third movie.”
The news continues an alarming trend for the film star, as Hanks was also recently accused of exposing himself as the benefactor of a local non-profit. And with so many actresses coming forward and speaking up about their experiences with Hanks, there’s no telling how this might end for one of the most respected men in Hollywood.
“I had no idea he was capable of something like this,” said film blogger Terry Rawlins. “He’s been around so long, I guess I just figured he was done inspiring young actresses with his work.”
“God was I wrong.”
