As part of the Academy Awards’ new initiative to shorten the telecast and appeal to all the youngfolk out there, several of the usual categories will be shown during commercial breaks this year, as it was recently announced that such silly categories as Best Editing and Best Cinematography won’t be presented live at this year’s ceremony.
With those very unimportant categories no longer taking up precious air time, here are a few categories that can fill it instead:
Most Practical Use of a Hemsworth
Best Canine Actor
Least Practical Use of Judy Greer
Most Tyler Perrys in a Film
A Category That Amy Adams Loses
Best Lighting on Meryl Streep
Best Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Film
Best Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Film That Wasn’t Nominated for Best Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Film
Best Film with Dialogue About Space
Best Film Directed by a Sexual Predator
Best Movie Title
Best Background Extra
Best Film Adapted From a Mobile Game
Best Film You Told All Your Friends That You Saw (But We Know You Actually Didn’t)
Best Film That Will Eventually Be Spun-Off Into a Second-Rate TV Show
Best DVD Menu Options
