BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Area man Josh Anderson claims his recent trip to the ER turned out to be a blessing in disguise. “For a little while, I didn’t think I would make it, and that was a real wake-up call. It’s funny, when I was laying there on my back, screaming in pain, all I could think about was that I’ve been living in the golden age of television, and I’ve let whole series just pass me by.”
Josh’s roommate, Mike, tells us that upon arriving home from the hospital, Josh was like a completely different person. “Usually when Josh gets home, he hangs out for a bit, we have a beer, and shoot the shit. This time though, when Josh got home he just grabbed his iPad, and headed straight for the couch. It was pretty inspiring.”
Josh claims that since returning home, he’s cut out nearly all direct socializing, but couldn’t have turned things around so quickly if his friends and family hadn’t been there to lend him their Hulu and HBO passwords.
“I never would have guessed, but this brush with death was just the thing I needed to remind me that I won’t be here forever,” Josh said. “And if I don’t get to it now, who knows if I’ll ever get caught up on all the new groundbreaking television.”
At press time Josh said he still hadn’t gotten around to starting The Americans, but is sure he will soon.
