5. The Right Side of the Bed
Now this is the first step to feeling better! This place may be familiar to you, which is always a good thing! However, after spending the majority of your time on your back, staring at the ceiling, wondering what you did wrong and if it is all your fault, this place will feel like a breath of fresh air! It’s got all your favorite sights, such as the wall you punched after reading the text!
4. The Left Side of the Bed
You may be thinking to yourself, “Now, how is this place any different than the last?” And your question is valid! It may seem the same to you at first glance; however, what this side has is a scenic view! That’s right, you can look outside the window and stare intently at the place where you shared your first, and last, kiss! It’s truly a place that will make you say, “Wow, it’s over. They’re really gone, huh?”
3. The Floor
This place is a classic! You spent your last three mental breakdowns here! There is something about the familiarity of it all that will make you feel right at home! The scratchy carpet will hold you tight, just like how your partner used to hold you tight whenever you had a bad day! Only now instead of warmth, you feel coldness! Better drag that blanket half off the bed to keep you warm!
2. The Bathroom
This is the place that your friends recommended, telling you, “Well, you gotta go there sometime!” Also, being in a whole new area can do a lot to help you clear your brain! Maybe you can take a shower – not trying to say anything, but you could probably use one. Maybe even brush your teeth, but I think a shower will be a good enough place to start.
Honorable Mention: Going to Your Job and Contributing to Society
Dude, rent is coming up, you need to get up and actually do something. Like, we’re counting on you. You know I’ve tried being nice to you this whole time but it’s really hard when you’re just constantly throwing yourself a pity party! I support you but also it’s been like months. You literally went on two dates with this person. I didn’t know someone could even get so attached so quickly.
1. The Couch
Well, you almost made it! And this is kind of near where all your stuff is! You can watch TV, maybe fill out some job applications or something, or just chill and wallow in your pain! Expect to spend at least a few months here because once you’re here you won’t want to come back! This is your ship and you are the captain!
Hey, that reminds me, my buddy’s dad owns a boat and he’s looking for someone to go on a fishing excursion in Alaska with him! It’s a couple of months but the pay is awesome and I think it’ll be good for you! Please, dude, I’m begging you!
