LOS ANGELES — A recent report surfaced which has confirmed that, in fact, the best SNL cast existed when you were between the ages of roughly 17 to 24 years old and in the most formative years of your life. The report comes as no surprise and was supposedly released by huge fans of the “old cast,” of which it was not stated which old cast was being referred to. The report further stated that, besides the cast, the writing was also the most clever, poignant, and topical when you were in your mid-to-late teens and through your mid-twenties, but before you reached 30. Just the right age to, coincidentally, relate to 75 to 90% of the sketches, whether they were laugh-out-loud funny or not, because of your up-to-date knowledge of recent pop culture and current references the show made. Although, as previously stated, the report shied away from reflecting on older casts, as well as going into detail about the current one, the general consensus about both was that each was “just not funny” and the show, in general, was “not that funny anymore.” Following the SNL findings, a study was conducted by the same group which stated “although the new late-night comedians are pretty funny, no one will ever be Leno or Letterman.”
