Like I keep telling my parents, tech startups are a great place to be right now. It’s been so exciting to see how the Robot Butt team has been pulling together in the last few days to get the site ready for our big launch.
It’s been inspiring to see the sacrifices everyone has made to move the company forward. I’ve been working off of milk crate chairs and using a coffee table as a desk, but it’s all part of the fun of just starting out. We even have a bean bag chair in one corner – it’s way more laid back than some of the places my other friends are working (have fun at GE, Tad!).
Still, I’m just dreaming of the day when I’ll be kicking back in a giant, comfortable leather chair, looking out the windows of my office and reflecting on the great work my future employees are doing.
It’s not all hanging out in bean bag chairs, though. While I’ve been doing my fair share of coffee runs, I’ve also been able to sit in on some really important meetings with potential advertisers. And just yesterday we spoke with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Well, it was more like I sat alone with them for twenty-five minutes until the rest of the Robot Butt team showed up. And I still have no real idea why the Teamsters were there in the first place. Or why one of them never stopped staring at me like I was doing something completely wrong.
Still, I’m really excited about the launch of Robot Butt, and I can’t wait to see how fast this all takes off.
Onward and upward!
And don’t forget to keep up with the company blog!
