Dan Kaufman is a journalist and an author whose debut satirical novel, Drowning in the Shallows, was published in April this year. Needless to say, he is now in therapy. He is also a columnist for The Sydney Morning Herald, where he used to work as an editor, and was recently shortlisted for the Lord Mayor’s Creative Awards in Melbourne, Australia, which is where he now talks to his therapist.
